How to curb PCOD naturally

According to a report published by Metropolis healthcare, one in every 5 woman in India is suffering from PCOS. Having PCOD (polycystic ovarian diseases) or PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) is very common today especially at young age due to lifestyle habits. It's an endocrine disorder that has many symptoms, such as lack of or irregular periods, 'cysts' on the ovaries, fertility issues and weight gain. It can also cause excess body hair, acne, thinning hair and depression. Not everyone shows all these signs, however – it affects women in different ways. Untreated, it can sometimes lead to more serious conditions such as type 2 diabetes and heart problems, so don't ignore it.

Treating PCOS or PCOD is a three-pronged approach – diet, exercise and medical help. Even if you want to resort to natural remedies to get relief don’t forget to get tested with your doctor to check your hormonal levels. Untreated PCOS or PCOD is a leading cause of infertility in most women in
reproductive age. So don’t self-treat if you suffer from this condition and get the right help.

There are certain measures that will definitely help with the condition of PCOD like:

Having a balanced diet- Instead of eating more at a time, try to have 5-6 short meals in a day, i.e., eat frequently but control the portion size. You should prepare a routine such that you have your last meal at least 2.5 hours before going to bed. Avoid eating overheated and overcooked food.

Exercising daily- Go for walks, jogging, aerobics, yoga, etc, i.e., you must indulge in some kind of physical activity. Be regular and consistent with exercising. You can also exercise during periods, but avoid doing exercises that put too much pressure in your pelvic area. It is very easy to improve the intensity of exercising during the follicular phase. It is the best phase for exercising.

Say no to toxins- Instead of using plastic containers, use steel or glass. Avoid coming in contact with pesticides. Avoid foods that have been manufactured using artificial colors, artificial flavors, and preservatives

Avoid stress -Though stress is not something that can be avoided, but it can be released or managed with the help of proper sleep and meditation.
