Let’s explore what female infertility is all about

Infertility is very common word in today’s time. According to a report there are about 20 million couples suffering from infertility in India. Now let’s talk about female infertility which means when a woman is unable to conceive despite trying from one year. There are various causes of female infertility; some are direct causes and some are indirect causes.
Direct causes of female infertility are listed below:

Blocked fallopian tubes: Fallopian tubes are needed for transmitting of eggs and sperms. The tube is usually wherein woman’s egg and man’s sperm meet up to get fertilization. When there is a blockage of the tube in one area or perhaps each side, natural pregnancy is not possible. Therefore all the vital fertility checks should be carried out by the infertility specialists to find out the real reason of fallopian tube blockage before starting any infertility treatment.

Vaginal issues: Sometimes, woman’s vagina might be too narrow to allow access to the man’s penis or perhaps panic could hold her in the course of sexual intercourse that normal intercourse is unachievable.

PCOS: Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease are the disease both associated with ovaries; ovaries are the very important part of women’s reproductive body. PCOS is an endocrine system disorder in which woman’s levels of sex hormones estrogen and progesterone gets out of balance. This leads to growth of ovarian cysts making a woman unable to conceive

Irregular menstrual cycle: Abnormal or irregular menstrual cycle or periods is one sign that can point towards a woman’s infertility. A menstrual cycle that is too long (35 days or more) or too short (21 days or less) could indicate problems with ovulation.
Now there are other factors also which causes infertility which occurs majorly due to our lifestyle such as:

Stress: Stress is a part of everyone’s life today. In order to combat stress, our body produces many hormones that supercharge the brain in order to increase survival. But those hormones can often be counterproductive when trying to conceive.

Overweight or Underweight: Being overweight affects everything; your fertility too and infertility caused due to obesity is common today. On the other hand being too skinny or underweight creates hindrances in conceiving as you are undernourished to keep the baby inside you.

Smoking and alcohol consumption: Cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption are both harmful to the ovaries, and the degree of damage is dependent upon the amount and length of the time a woman smokes or is exposed to a smoked environment or how much uantity of alcohol you are consuming.

Age factor: Last but not the least is your age as you can’t do anything about it. There’s no medicine, no cure for old age and the disabilities that come with it. The only thing you can do is plan your future well and make the best of today. The ideal age for pregnancy is the mid-to-late 20s. If you want to wait, then you can push that limit to 35. After 35, the chances of a successful pregnancy start declining.
